K.V.Bellary-My School

Whenever I close my eyes
and walk down the memory lane,
I remember
the golden moments of
my school life.

The love and warmth
I recieved from my mentors,
left me with profound happiness.

Never did my mentors
treated me like their student,
rather they treated me
as their own child.
Just like a gardener
takes care of his plants
my mentors too
moulded my charecter
and personality in a
much significant way.

I remember those mischievious
days of my childhood,
when my friends-
Prahallad, Vikram, Vijay etc
used to play pranks
on teachers.
I remember the days
when I had fun
with Archana, Sunitha and Anshika,
the days when Sunil used to draw
a cartoon of elephant to tease somebody.
How I wish those days
would come back again !

Throughout my life
I haven't come across
such good teachers,
How I wish Kamala Deewan ma'm
would once again
teach us Hindi grammar,
How I wish Fatima ma'm
would say-
CHULLU BHAR PAANI MEIN DOOB MARO"....once again !

All these memories
were refreshed in my mind,
when I attended
K.V.Bellary's ALUMNI MEET
conducted on 30th Jan 2011

Thank you God
to have made me,
a member of the K.V.family.

CRYING OUT FOR PEACE

"There comes a time,
When we need a certain call,
When the world must come,
Together as one .........."

This song was written and composed by Michael Jackson when Africa was affected by a severe draught in the late 80s. All the proceeds from the song went to the welfare of the sick and needy African children, the song goes on to say-

"We can't go on pretending
Day by day that
Someone somewhere will
Soon make a change......."

When I listen to these lines I feel that there is a hidden message in them. That we, the youngsters should take the initiative ro change the hostile environment around us. It is our responsibility to spread the message of love, peace and harmony. Usually we think that a single person can't shoulder this responsibility, but in fact if each one of us contributes in a small manner then gradually the scenario will definitely change.

The recent mob attacks in Gujrat destroyed many innocent lives. What is happening to the world these days? Religious fanatism and violenceis crossing all borders and spreading its evil effects in the society. India known for its principle- VASUDHAIVA KUTUMBHAKAM (all countries in the world should live like a big united family) and the tradition of non-violence initiated by Mahatma Gandhi seems to have been lost.

In the present situation we need to analyse what went wrong with us? We need to assess ourselves and redefine our outlook of being religious. In my opinion, being religious has nothing to do with hatred. Actually all religions-Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, or Buddhism, preach universal brotherhood and all these religions lead to the same destination, namely-the Almighty.

Man then, has not invented God;
He has developed faith,
To meet a God already there.
- Edna St.Vincent Millay

So let us resolve today that we will strive to change the atmosphere around us into a peaceful one, where all of us can nurture our talents and contribute to make this world a better place to live in.

MISS WORLD

Once there was a little girl,
Very pretty was she.
Her eyes were full of love,
and twinkling with mischief.
Her lips were just like,
Petals of a rose,
She was the darling,
Of her parents,
The apple of their eyes.
She would talk sweetly,
which made a special place,
In everybody's heart.
Her name was Sweety,
And a breathtaking smile,
Made her all the more charming,
She grew up into,
A tall and beautiful girl.
then she participated,
In a beauty paegent,
There she was crowned Miss world,
She achieved much success,
And she thanked God,
For being so kind to her.

EARTH MATTERS

Whenever I bow my head,
To seek blessings from the Almighty,
I feel a sense of guilt ....
God had bestowed,
His miraculous powers,
So as to create us.
Is life really worth it?
Why not?
Come let us pledge today,
That all of us will,
Protect Mother Nature,
Conserve wildlife and forests.
Its our duty, isn't it?
Together let us stand as one,
As a mark of respect,
To the Lord and staning united,
We will bid adieu to terror.

NEHA-"THE HERO"

There comes a time
when you notice that
you are all alone
nobody cares about you
your friends
your relatives and teachers
not even your best friend

What would you do then?
CRY Cry and Cry alone................

No dear
That's not the solution
Think positive
Associate with positive people,
Create a positive environment and
you will be once again
be ready to face the world

You are a hero
not a heroine
remember that times have changed
we must be brave
ok..............
thats a promise then............
Hmmmmm........
Hope you will keep this promise?
I love you Neha

My Dreams

I dream of a day
When there will be happiness
All around me
When I’ll no longer
Feel lonely as I do now

I dream of a day
When there will be
Someone special
In my life
With whom I can share all
My feelings
On whom I can show
My anger
On whom I can
Sprinkle my love
On whom I can trust blindly
Like an innocent child
I dream of a day when
I will find that person
With whom I need not pretend
Who could easily understand me
Who could give a lot of emotional support
At the time of any crisis
I’ll stand like a rock
Like a pillar of strength
Behind that person
I dream of a day
When I’ll become
Financially independent
A day when I need not
Depend on anybody
My biggest dream is-
To become the architect
Of my own destiny
Which I’ll certainly do.
